I have a strong passion for flowers, and one of my favorites is the bougainvillea. There is just something about this tropical looking vine blanketing the desert-like city of Los Angeles that sings to me. It can be a cold, gloomy day and there is is... full of color and stamina. It can be an unpleasant smog-filled afternoon and still no sign of defeat. Basically, this is the rock star flower that keeps our concrete city looking beautiful and green.
